Get Out Of Bed in the Morning.
May seem obvious but this is in fact, the first and most important step. Discouragement can leave you feeling like the warmth of your bed in the morning is the only place you'll find comfort. But you're going to have to muster up your gusto and STAND UP. No one is going to live your day for you. But they WILL live your dreams for you.
You've Got to Be Thankful.
You've got to be thankful for how far you've come. I don't care if you have been doing this ten years or you've been to two auditions. You've made a choice and taken action. Be proud of yourself and then choose to go further.
Visualize Where You Want to Be.
You won't get very far focusing on your current situation. Unless, of course, you want to stay in the current situation forever. Now, don't limit the value of the present, but make sure your eyes are always committed to the road ahead. Paint a beautiful picture of your ideal situation and feel good about it. Feel your worth and create the picture a little more each day.
Get up, Stand Up and Make it Happen.
Sort of reiterating the first point. But here's the thing. YOU NEED to get up and do it. Great, you've gotten out of bed, you've chosen to be thankful for your progress and you've created a good fantasy about your ideal future - but if you don't start taking action, you will NEVER get there.
TAKE ACTION. DO IT.
If you want to make it happen in your career - take the steps and commit. For more tips and skills, come say hi at The New York Acting School for Film and Television. We'll help you get there.
