Acting Class Question #2: What Makes A Wonderful Life Wonderful?

Our NYC acting school prepares acting students to make memorable moments in film or on TV.  But all of the great actors and actresses have been serious students of film.  They will always be able to point to the great ones who influenced their careers.

A Wonderful Life is a classic.  The question is why?  Help us with your answer in the comments below?

"Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath? Anyway, my father didn't think so. People were human beings to him. But to you, a warped, frustrated old man, they're cattle. Well in my book, my father died a much richer man than you'll ever be!"
  • George Bailey played by James Stewart gives his famous speech in confrontation with the miserly Mr. Potter played by Lionel Barrymore in the beloved holiday classic film, Its a Wonderful Life.
  • Frank Capra directed this film in 1946, but it gained lasting popularity with Americans years later as a holiday television special.
  • Its a Wonderful Life was nominated for 5 Oscars
  • The screenplay was originally written for Cary Grant in the role of George Bailey

The New York Acting School for Film and Television can help you to give your best at every audition. This is not just another NYC acting school that teaches how to act, but how to act for the film and TV camera.
